Brown set for international action

13th October 2017

Joe Brown is in line to make his latest appearance for Jamaica on Friday evening after being included in head coach Romeo Monteith’s 20 man squad the test against France.

The first meeting between the two sides will see the Reggae Warriors play a key part in France’s world cup preparations, where Les Chanticleers will take on Australia, England and Lebanon in the group stages.

For Jamaica, the game is part of their preparations towards the 2021 World Cup qualifiers having narrowly missed out on this year’s tournament and will offer an opportunity to carry momentum forwards, from August’s 28-14 win over Canada.

Should Brown take to the field at the Stade Gilbert Brutus in Perpignan, it will be his 10th appearance for the team, with his last cap coming in an impressive 16 – 68 win over Ireland.

The final match day squad will be announced later on Friday afternoon.
