Newcastle Thunder have made three changes to their 19 man squad versus the Toronto Wolfpack for Sunday’s visit of Keighley Cougars, with one of the club’s rising talents in line for a potential debut.

U18’s academy player Adam Bielby has been included in the playing pool, from which Sunday’s match day 17 will be drawn from for the first time, having impressed Thunder’s coaches with his hard work.

The former Durham Demon joins Jack Aldous and fellow Academy talent David Weetman as the players coming into the extended group, with Zach Clark, Dan Parker and Josh Stoker the players making way.

It is the first of three crucial games for Thunder in September, with trips to Doncaster and York City Knights to come as they aim to secure a top five berth and a place in the end of season play offs.

Tickets for Sunday’s game, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, are on sale now and can be booked in advance by clicking here or by calling 0871 2266060 or from the stadium box office on the day of the game.
