Newcastle Thunder are gearing up towards the biggest games of the season in the next couple of weeks as Kingston Park Stadium plays host to Toronto Wolfpack and York City Knights over the next two Fridays.

While the Wolfpack arrive with a bow-wave of hype preceding them, the May 19th Magic Friday fixture provides Thunder with its big moment in the spotlight, as it kicks off the Dacia Magic Weekend in Newcastle.

Having attracted bumper crowds for the last two seasons, the club is calling on the Thunder Army to help spread the word about the game as they look to surpass last season’s crowd of 3,033 spectators, the largest attendance for a rugby league fixture to date at Kingston Park Stadium.

Available here for download, fans are being asked by the club to display the match poster for the York City Knights game in as prominent place as possible, be that the staff room at work or the shop window of a local newsagent.

And as an added incentive, any supporter who posts a picture of the poster being displayed to one of the club’s social media channels will be entered into a daily draw for a pair of tickets to the game on May 19th.

With the head to head over Magic Friday standing at one win each, it promises to be an exciting night of rugby league and with the help of the Thunder Army, an electric atmosphere under the lights.
