Biography

Former England international Peter Fox joined Newcastle in 2016 from Doncaster, Fox brings a vast wealth of experienced, having earned six caps and shone at international, Super League and Championship level in a glittering professional career.

A powerful player who brings a physical presence to the Thunder back line provided the side with a potent attacking threat in 2016, scoring 17 tries across the year.

Beginning his career with his hometown club while part of the Leeds Rhinos academy, York born Fox used two years with the City Knights to establish himself and attracting the interest of Super League sides.

Signing with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats for 2007 before moving to Hull KR for 2008, it was during his four years at Craven Park that he earned his England caps.

Playing against France and Wales in 2008 and 2009, Fox added caps against New Zealand and Australia later that year.

His two tries versus New Zealand were instrumental in helping England achieve a shock 20-12 win over the then World Champions further underlining Fox’s star quality.
