Newcastle Thunder’s third round Ladbrokes Challenge Cup fixture against Workington Town will take place on Saturday 25th February with a 5pm kick-off at Kingston Park Stadium.
Drawn at home for the first time in the Challenge Cup since 2012, Thunder have been given a competitive tie for fans to enjoy, ahead of the start of the Kingstone Press League 1 season.
It will be part of a full day of rugby league at the stadium, with the club also hosting an Under 14 player development programme in the morning, before the club’s Under 19s face their counterparts from Wigan Warriors in the Super League U19 competition at 14:30.
Tickets are on sale now, priced at £12 for adult seating and £10 for adult standing, with seated season ticket holders able to book their seasonal seat until Monday at 5pm, with the match NOT included in the 2017 season ticket package.
Looking ahead to the match, Thunder head coach Mick Mantelli said ““We’ve got a great chance to jump out of the box well, playing on our home patch and we’ll be selecting the strongest side we can, based on form and ability for the game.”
